Ya, I posted this to our Facebook earlier this week, but I know some of you are Facebook haters...

For those of you wondering why people were complaining about CheaperThanDirt trying to price gouge customers...this is a real screen grab from their website. Thanks to DB for the heads up.

And this one was worth a good laugh. Via PrepperPost.

  1. I'm no fan of Barry, but that's clearly a photoshopped image.

    1. I'm no expert, but doesn't CTD stand for "cheaper than dirt"? When the fuck did dirt become so expensive?

    2. Threaten to outlaw dirt, and prices will rise. Supply, Demand, and Price. Laws of economics.

    1. Lynda got it for me. This is the same kind of Red Team/Blue Team childishness that went on under the previous caesar, Dubya. My grandpa still spams me with similar obviously fake crap, and I use it to warm up my delete key.

CTD is free to charge $1million per mag, and we'll see if they win or lose on that strategy. Free markets allow for such shortsightedness, and if they were wrong, let them fold.

I suspect that people who put off buying a rifle until after the latest incident will end up paying whatever they must.

I saw one of Bush with the cord changed, too. Lots of crap on the Net, isn't there?

  5. Man you whiners sound like a bunch of Democrats looking for their next handout. I have no problem with price gouging and you guys shouldn't either. If the price is truly too high then no one will pay it and Cheaper Than Dirt will lose sales and lose money. The market automatically punishes true "price gouging." If people are actually willing to pay the price then good for CTD, they have set prices appropriately. You could say that the people who are paying that much are dumb but CTD is free to set whatever price they want--its their merchandise and us consumers are somehow "entitled" to the price we feel is fair. No 2heavyb, they are not your friends they are a business. Don't be shocked when they care more about making money than making you feel warm and fuzzy inside. And btw the high prices ensure there is at least SOME supply if someone is willing to pay for it. I hope all of us anti-gun control folks understand the true heart of this issue. Its that people should be free to do what they will and government force control or suppression of a free people in a free marketplace is bad. People should be free to choose to buy Big Gulps at 7-11, gas guzzling SUVs, and all the guns they can afford. People should be free to do what they will with their property--and that includes selling it for what they will. If Cheaper Than Dirt wants to sell P-Mags for a thousand dollars each than more power to 'em. I won't be choosing to buy one but I also won't delude myself into thinking I'm entitled to a cheap price.

  6. I think the fact they have them in stock tells me that people are not paying the outragous prices KingHoju.

    1. Which becomes the point - if no one buys them, CTD doesn't make any money and would eventually lower prices or go out of business.

Anyways, ya'll are taking these supposed to be light and fun picture posts ways too seriously...
