  1. That is so weird! This morning in the shower I was thinking they could remake Red Dawn with the Chinese as the invaders.

This movie (current version, not 80's version) was actually finished in 2008 or 2009. A Chinese company bought the studio that produced it, and forced them to re-edit. The re-edited version was finished in 2010, I think. The movie was then shelved for a while. Then....It was revamped AGAIN, to make it more current. Now they say it will FINALLY be released at Thanksgiving. I wonder why late November is being considered "the right time" to release the film? Kinda makes you think. What else is happening in late November? The elections....If Obama allows them to transpire.

      EDIT-

Please take that last post with a grain of salt. I did not cross reference. That post was just from memory. "Red Dawn" is one of my all time favorite movies, so whenever any news of the remake surfaced, I read it. The scenarios played out in the 1984 version were a childhood fantasy of mine. I could always see myself as one of the "Wolverines"....LOL

    2. Uh...I like your second post better than your first but I did hear that the Chinese made sure it was not about China invading and more about North Korea. All of this is likely but completely unprovable. As for the 1984 version.....what kid didn't see himself joining the Wolverines. Hopefully there is a generation of kids who see this one and think the same thing. Live Free or Die Fighting for It! Semper Fi.

  3. Wolverines! Oh I'm in for sure. Will it live up to the original?

  4. When the planes were overhead and the one as shot down and remnants crashed into house adjacent to them....wow, this actually looks like it might not suck.

  6. North Korea invading the United States really. It would be more beleivable in they were Mexicans. China bought the studio and made them chance it from a Chinese invasion to North Korean. The movie looks good but the whole North Korea being behind the invasion is stupid and may have ruined the movie for me anyway.

    1. Just mentally change it back to the Chinese. It's a movie, suspension of disbelief required.

  7. I will see it when it comes out on Itunes, but I doubt I will waste the money to go see it.

  8. Thanks for the link, looks like fun. Probably wont be as good as the original but hey, that's life. The part with the plane being shot down and the paratroopers was cool.

  9. Yeah the premise is far fetched and the acting seems less than professional but it does look like a pretty good movie. lol to the point that I wanna see it right now.
