A few interesting ideas for those of us confined to urban/suburban areas for our daily living. A highly populated urban/suburban area will most likely be overrun and uninhabitable in the event of a major collapse, but in a long/slow slide, these techniques could be invaluable to a family or resilient community.
PodPonics: Uses shipping containers, hydroponics and computer controls to run"grow pods" for growing organic produce locally. Pretty cool idea.
Gotham Greens: Urban rooftop greenhouse farm with state-of-the-art climate controls, hydroponics, solar power, rainwater collection and so on.
Garden Pool: Backyard pool transformed into an aquaponics garden/greenhouse. Tilapia, chickens, veggies.
