Heads Up: The Union Creek Journal

We all enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, and free post-apocalyptic fiction is probably even better. The Union Creek Journal is an ongoing account of one community's struggle to survive in a post-collapse world. It's written in a journal/blog style, ala the Day by Day Armageddon series.

Definitely worth checking out--I've only read a few of the most recent entries and it looks pretty good. I've got it in my reading "queue" to start from the beginning and work my way forward. Just need to finish a couple books first!

If there's any fans of The Union Creek Journal out there, chime in with your thoughts in the comments section!

  1. I'm the author of The Union Creek Journal. First of all, thank you to Alexander for mentioning my work here. Second, if you're new to The Journal, you'll want to start on the "chronological" page where all of the entries are listed in chronological order. Here's the link: http://unioncreekjournal.wordpress.com/the-union-creek-jounral-entries-in-chronological-order/

    Enjoy!

  2. The Union Creek Journal is well written. Very good story line. I check two or three ties a day in hopes for new posts, and am never let down when they are there. Love the story. Very realistic in my opinion.

  5. When I found the Union Creek Journal (linked off Survivalist Forum), there were maybe a dozen chapters, and I digested them in a two-day read-a-thon, and now I'm checking back daily, to keep up with developments in the little community at Union Creek. IMO, it's a well-written novel, in a conversational style with enough action to keep the reader engaged. You keep going back to keep up with what's happening. Good character development, and some realistic scenarios. Fun to read.

  6. Well I checked it out and liked it. I spent the last two day reading his blog. Now I am caught up and awaiting his next chapter.

I think I will also be adding his site to my blog as well.
